Perry Lopez (22 July 1931 – 14 February 2008; age 76) is an actor from New York. He broke into films in 1954 with several small roles. By the late fifties and through the sixties, he worked steadily, appearing in guest roles in many of the popular shows of that era. His most famous role is probably Lieutenant Escobar in Chinatown, a role he reprised sixteen years later in the sequel, The Two Jakes.
He appeared in Star Trek once, as Esteban Rodriguez in TOS: "Shore Leave".
