The Pernaia system is a star system in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. It is approximately one hundred light years from the Sol system.
While Pernaia Prime has an unbreathable methane atmosphere, it does have a single frozen moon which can support life. Located on it is a bar where traders and smugglers often stop by.

In 2152, the Vulcan Ministry of Security tracked a Vulcan fugitive, Menos, to the system. Since the original officer that was sent to track him down, T'Pol, was in the vicinity, they sent her after him. She was successful in finding him and bringing him back to Vulcan, however he had caused a large fire in the bar on Pernaia's frozen moon. (ENT: "The Seventh")
