Pentarus II was the second planet in the Pentarus star system. It was a Class M planet.
Pentarus II was searched by miners as a possible crash site when the shuttle Nenebek, carrying Jean-Luc Picard and Wesley Crusher, was lost in 2367. (TNG: "Final Mission")
According to the script, the pronunciation for Pentarus was "pen-TAR-us". [1]
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on the chart United Federation of Planets I, Pentarus II, by 2378, had become a Federation member.
