Penny Juday is an archivist who is responsible for managing props, set pieces, models, blueprints, photographs, and many other parts of Star Trek history. She has catalogued everything on the Paramount Pictures lot relating to Star Trek, and is the first source production designers or set dressers approach when a piece of information or a certain object is needed.
Juday is frequently interviewed for the bonus features on Star Trek DVDs, and often provides glimpses into the vault of Star Trek memorabilia housed at Paramount. She also manages the History of the Future museum at Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada. She contributed photos and information to the technical briefings in both the Star Trek Fact Files and Star Trek: The Magazine.
Ensign Penny Juday, an obscure name on a casualty list glimpsed during DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight," was named for her.
Juday is married to former DS9 and ENT scenic artist Anthony Fredrickson.
She discusses the props of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in the DS9 Season 1 DVD special feature "Secrets of Quark's Bar."
