Pennsylvania is a region on the east coast of the North American continent on Earth, a part of the United States of America.

In 1902, Sean Aloysius O'Brien, leader of the Anthracite strike of that year, received the biggest funeral in Pennsylvanian history after having been murdered a week before the strike ended. (DS9: "Bar Association")
In 1957, a small Vulcan vessel crash-landed near the Pennsylvania town of Carbon Creek. The vessel's occupants proceeded to covertly integrate themselves into the residential population until rescue could arrive. (ENT: "Carbon Creek")
The Starship Gettysburg was named for Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where the historic Battle of Gettysburg took place during the American Civil War of Earth's 19th century. (TNG: "Too Short a Season", DS9: "Treachery, Faith, and the Great River")
