Paramount Stage 5 is located on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood, California.

Stage 5 was one of the sound stages used in the 1981-1982 production of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It housed the Enterprise torpedo room set, and also the Regula I laboratory and cavern sets. [1]

Stage 5 was also one of several sound stages used in the 1991 production of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, where it was used for filming scenes aboard the USS Excelsior, USS Enterprise, Chang's Bird-of-Prey and Kronos One.

Following the production of The Undiscovered Country, the fifth season opening episode "Redemption II" used Stage 5 and the existing set of the Klingon Bird-of-Prey bridge. The scenes were filmed on Thursday 11 July 1991. The sets were also used for the fifth season episodes "Unification I" and "Unification II" to represent K'Vada's Bird-of-Prey. The scenes were filmed on Monday 16 September 1991.

Stage 5 was also one of several sound stages used in the 1998 production of Star Trek: Insurrection. The stage housed sets representing interior USS Enterprise-E main bridge and engineering as well as the banquet hall (a redress of the Star Trek: First Contact observation lounge) and several corridor sections.

Existing shuttlecraft and runabout sets from Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (respectively) were moved to Stage 5 and redressed for use in the film as Data's scoutship and Enterprise-E shuttlecraft.

Remaining Insurrection interiors were filmed on Paramount Stages 9, 15, 16 and 18.
