Paramount was a chemical element listed on the Table of Elements. It was a member of the Gamma series. (TNG: "Rascals")

The element Paramount had the symbol "Ca", which is the same atomic symbol used for calcium. It is named after Paramount Pictures, which is the company that produced Star Trek: The Next Generation.
