Paphiopedilum was a genus of orchid flower, a type of cypripedium, native to Asia on Earth.

In 2372, Chakotay discovered a specimen of Paphiopedilum on the planet of the Sky Spirits in the Delta Quadrant. It had been transplanted from Earth after one of the aliens' visits there. (VOY: "Tattoo")
