Panora was a planet in the Demilitarized Zone and the site of a Cardassian colony. In 2373, Panora was a possible target for Michael Eddington to deploy his cobalt diselenide weapon. Most of the colony's defenses had been disabled by a Maquis raid two months prior, leaving the planet virtually defenseless. However, Eddington chose to attack Quatal Prime instead. (DS9: "For the Uniform")

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 47, Panora was located in the Panora system. The system was located in Cardassian space, and this system was located in the Alpha Quadrant. The system's primary was a F-type star.
