Outpost 47 was a Cardassian outpost along the Demilitarized Zone. In 2371, Outpost 47 was attacked and destroyed by the USS Defiant, which had been hijacked by Thomas Riker. (DS9: "Defiant")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 47, Outpost 47 was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
