Orn Lote was a Tagran engineer who lived on Tagra IV.

In 2369, when Tagra IV's atmosphere had become critically polluted due to industrial waste emissions, Lote requested help from the USS Enterprise-D in fighting the ecological disaster. They attempted to install new filters to clean the atmosphere, but one of the reactors which had become destabilized could not be fixed and a meltdown was a possibility.
