The Oolans are a sentient species native to Marejaretus VI. In Oolan culture thanks are given during a meal by the striking together of two large stones in appreciation. The stones are struck consistently and the meal must continue until they are broken. The Oolan ceremony is not dissimilar from some Betazoid or the society on Artifs IV. (TNG: "Manhunt")
