Olivia London Choate is an actress who appears as an alien Starfleet cadet in 2009's Star Trek. [1] She was born in Massachusetts and graduated from Smith College in Northampton. She studied theater at Eugene O'Neill National Theatre Institute in Waterford, Connecticut.

Choate has performed in many theatrical productions at Smith College, including Fifteen Minute Hamlet (playing the lead role), Mother of Us All, and Six Characters in Search of an Author. Her other stage credits have included Twelfth Night, The Cherry Orchard, and Spring's Awakening.

In addition, Choate has acted in several student films as part of the University of Southern California's Graduate Program. She has worked in a number of independent films, as well. Star Trek is Choate's first major studio film. She will next be seen as a piano student in the 2009 film Fame, which stars Kelsey Grammer and Bebe Neuwirth.
