The Old City Station was a Starfleet facility, once described as the "hind-end of space."

Commander Uhura was posted to the transporter room, along with "Mr. Adventure", at Old City Station in 2285. At one point during her assignment to the facility, Uhura illegally beamed Dr. McCoy, Kirk and Sulu from Old City Station to the USS Enterprise. (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)
