The Ohniaka III Research Station was a Federation science station without strategic importance on the planet Ohniaka III. The outpost was staffed by 274 Starfleet personnel.

In 2369, this outpost was attacked, and all personnel were lost. The attack was later discovered to be the work of a previously unknown group of self-aware, fanatical Borg, controlled by a figure known as "The One", later revealed to be the Soong-type android named Lore. (TNG: "Descent")
