Oden is a traditional Human soup of Japanese origin, whose recipe is often passed down through a family.
In 2152, Hoshi Sato asked to take over the galley aboard Enterprise when Chef fell ill. Instead of sticking to the food on the Dinner planner, she decided to cook her grandmother's recipe for oden.
Among the ingredients are potatoes, carrots, giant radish (daikon), hard-boiled eggs, jellied yam (konnyaku), grilled tofu (yakidofu), fish cake (kamaboko), salt, chicken stock, sugar, and sake. (ENT: "Singularity")
