The Nyberrite Alliance was a political entity located a long distance away from starbase Deep Space 9. The Alliance apparently had good relations with both the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire.
The Nyberrite Alliance was always eager to hire experienced officers for their fleet and Lieutenant Commander Worf contemplated signing aboard a Nyberrite Alliance cruiser after the conclusion of his assignment on Deep Space 9 in 2372. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")
