...as Torin.

Norman Snow (born 29 March 1950; age 74) is the actor who played Torin in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Rightful Heir".

Hailing from Little Rock, Arkansas, Snow is best known for playing the evil Xur in the 1984 science fiction film The Last Starfighter. Among the cast were fellow Star Trek performers Marc Alaimo, Barbara Bosson, Kay E. Kuter, and Meg Wyllie. (Wil Wheaton also acted in the film, but most of his scenes were deleted from the final theatrical release.) Snow has appeared in a handful of other films, including the 1979 Merchant-Ivory drama The Europeans and the acclaimed 1986 thriller Manhunter.

Snow is a veteran of television daytime soap operas, having had recurring roles on The Edge of Night, As the World Turns, Guiding Light, General Hospital, Another World, and Days of Our Lives. He has also made guest appearances on two series starring future Star Trek captains: Spenser: For Hire, starring Avery Brooks, in 1986; and Quantum Leap, starring Scott Bakula, in 1992. The latter starred Enterprise guest actor Dean Stockwell.

Other TV shows on which Snow has appeared include Crime Story (in an episode with Bill Smitrovich and David Soul), L.A. Law (with Corbin Bernsen, Robert Curtis-Brown, Larry Drake, Samantha Eggar, Harvey Jason, Lawrence Tierney, and Tom Wright), Law & Order, Beverly Hills, 90210, and two episodes of Profiler (one with Craig Wasson and another with Lawrence Dobkin). Additionally, he has been seen in such TV movies as Going Underground (with Bruce McGill), Two Voices (with Vaughn Armstrong and Casey Biggs), and Hefner: Unauthorized (with Bill Bolender, Pat Healy and Jim Metzler).
