Nori was a Starfleet engineer assigned to Deep Space 9 in the 2370s under Chief Miles O'Brien. He was part of the swing shift.

In 2373, O'Brien ordered the swing shift, including Nori, to run calibration tests on all 64 of the station's inertial couplings within a day. He was later assigned to the cargo bay with fellow officer Abdon. (DS9: "The Assignment")
