Nomadic acquisition was a term used to describe the pattern of both having a nomadic lifestyle as well as raiding and conquering, that typified the Son'a.

The Son'a adopted this strategy after they left Ba'ku in the late 23rd century, following a brief flirtation with space colonization. Some sociobiologists attributed this behavior to desperation, due to the race-wide infertility of the species. (Star Trek: Insurrection)
