Nilo Rodis-Jamero (also known as Nilo Rodis) was the visual effects art director on Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, the art director on Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and was one of the costume designers on Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

He was also credited with being the "inventor" of the design of the Klingon Bird-of-Prey and the co-inventor of the design of the USS Excelsior on associated design patents issued for those creations. He also oversaw the design of the Earth Spacedock.

Rodis was born in the Phillipines, and immigrated to the US after graduation from high school. He graduated from San Jose University, and began his career as a Chevrolet car designer for General Motors. He began working on films after then-special effects head Joe Johnston hired him as a designer for George Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic. Aside from his Star Trek work, he contributed to films such as the original Star Wars trilogy, Poltergeist, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Flubber and Home Alone 3. Lately, he worked as art director on Tim Burton's 2010 film Alice in Wonderland. [1]
