The Neethian cradlefish was an organism somewhat similar to the Earth's terrestrial earthworm, in that any portion of its body which was severed continues to live for a time as an independent organism. (ENT: "Vox Sola")
This cradlefish may possibly come from a planet named Neethia. In the book Star Trek: Star Charts, page 44, Neethia was a planet in the Xi Pegasi system. This system, located in the Alpha Quadrant, was a binary star system, and was named as a stop on the Denobulan trade routes in the 22nd century.
