The Nechisti Order is the religious body of the Nechani, whose members have devoted their lives to the Ancestral Spirits. They generally keep to their affairs, though they welcome those who wish to seek the Spirits for themselves.

In 2373, Kes was severely injured by an encounter with a Nechisti shrine. A Nechisti Order monk subsequently served as Kathryn Janeway's guide, when she sought to undergo a sacred ritual to save Kes' life. (VOY: "Sacred Ground")
