Nazneen Contractor (born 26 August 1982; age 41) is an Indian-born actress who has a role in 2013's Star Trek Into Darkness, playing Rima Harewood, the wife of Thomas Harewood, the character portrayed by Noel Clarke. [1] She married her 24 co-star Carlo Rota on 1 April 2010.

Born in Mumbai, India, Contractor was raised and educated in Nigeria and London. At age ten, she immigrated with her family to Toronto, Canada, where she spent her youth studying classical ballet. She eventually turned to acting, finding success at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in such plays as "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Pericles".

She broke into television in 2000 and, over the years, appeared in such Canadian programs as Relic Hunter (2001) and Street Time (2002-2003). In 2008, she was a regular cast member of the Canadian crime-espionage drama The Border. Two years later, she had a recurring role on the CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement. She appeared in four episodes of the series, including one with Alan Ruck.

Contractor is best known for her role as Kayla Hassan in the eighth and final season of the FOX series 24 in 2010. Others who appeared on the show during that season include Bob Gunton, Gregory Itzin, Scott Lawrence, Stephen Root, and Annie Wersching, with stunt work done by Tony Donno, John Meier, Christopher Leps and Jeff Cadiente. Former Star Trek showrunners Brannon Braga and Manny Coto were writers and producers on the series at the time.

Since then, Contractor had guest roles in episodes of Lone Starr (2010) and The Paul Reiser Show (2011), filmed the thriller Seance: The Summoning (2011) and the 2012 fantasy television film Pegasus Vs. Chimera. Prior to her appearance on Star Trek Into Darkness, Contractor had guest roles in episodes of XIII: The Series (2012, with Stephen McHattie) and Last Resort (2012, with Autumn Reeser and Jay Karnes). Also in 2012, she won the Grand Award at the WorldFest Houston for Best Supporting Actress in the horror thriller Seance: The Summoning.
