A Navatan Shawl was a white shawl with beads embroidered on it. Bajorans believed it was good luck for a bride to wear a Navatan shawl on her wedding day. Kasidy Yates told Benjamin Sisko about it when they were planning to marry. Sisko thought she looked very nice in it. (DS9: Til Death Do Us Part)
