Template:Realworld Nathan Crowley is a Hollywood production designer, art director, and set designer. He served as the latter on the pilot episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, "Emissary", along with Joseph Hodges and Alan S. Kaye.

Crowley has also designed the sets for the films Hook (1991, under Joseph Hodges), Paramount Pictures' Escape from L.A. (1996, starring Michelle Forbes; working with Kurt V. Hulett and Christopher S. Nushawg), and Mystery Men (1999, working with James R. Bayliss). His art direction credits include the Paramount films Braveheart (1995) and Mission: Impossible II (2000, co-written by Ronald D. Moore and Brannon Braga, with cinematography by Jeffrey L. Kimball), as well as Warner Bros. Pictures' Assassins (featuring Stephen Liska and second unit direction by Robert Sallin). He was also an assistant art director on the 1994 Warner Bros. film Maverick, again working with fellow "Emissary" set designer Joseph Hodges.

As a production designer, Crowley has worked on such films as Behind Enemy Lines (2001, featuring Leon Russom) and The Lake House (2006, starring Christopher Plummer). Primarily, however, he works on films for director/writer/producer Christopher Nolan. His works with Nolan thus far have included 2002's Insomnia (which featured Paul Dooley), 2005's Batman Begins, and 2006's The Prestige (featuring Daniel Davis, Christopher Neame and W. Morgan Sheppard).

Crowley and set decorator Julie Ochipinti earned their first Academy Award nomination for Best Achievement in Art Direction for their work on The Presitge. In addition, Crowley received Excellence in Production Design Award nominations from the Art Directors Guild for his work on both Batman Begins and The Prestige, and was nominated for a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Award for Batman Begins.

Currently, Crowley is working with Christopher Nolan again on The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins, set for release in 2008.
