Nancy Vawter appeared as Admiral Margaret Blackwell in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Pegasus".
Vawter is best known for her recurring role as Dorothy Wyler during the third season of L.A. Law. Besides series regulars Corbin Bernsen and Larry Drake, other Star Trek alumni she appeared with during her time on the series include James Avery, Earl Boen, Bernie Casey, George Coe, Michael Durrell, Anne Haney, Jerry Hardin, Teri Hatcher, Gregg Henry, Tzi Ma, Brian McNamara, Eric Menyuk, Tony Plana, Phil Rubenstein, Armin Shimerman, Barbara Tarbuck, Gwynyth Walsh, and Noble Willingham.
In addition, Vawter appeared in a 1986 episode of Hill Street Blues, working with Barbara Bosson, Megan Gallagher, James B. Sikking, and Steve Vinovich. She also appeared in the 1983 TV movie Kentucky Woman (with Gary Epper and Peter Weller) and the 1983 independent film Second Thoughts (with Louis Giambalvo, Craig Wasson, and Meg Wyllie).
