Musetta Vander (born 26 May 1963; age 60) is the actress who portrayed Derran Tal in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "The Disease".

Vander was born in South Africa. Other television series on which she has appeared include Boy Meets World, Highlander, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Xena: Warrior Princess, Stargate SG-1, Babylon 5, and Frasier, the latter of which starred one-time TNG guest actor Kelsey Grammer.

In 1994 she appeared alongside Kate Mulgrew in an episode of Murder She Wrote entitled The Dying Game. [1]

She was featured on the short-lived sci-fi television series Super Force (with Ken Olandt), and also occasionally as Prima on UPN's short-lived spy series Secret Agent Man with cast-regular Dina Meyer.

Vander has additionally appeared in several films. She played the role of Lash in the 1994 science fiction adventure Oblivion and its sequel, Oblivion 2: Backlash in 1996. Fellow Star Trek alumnus George Takei, Meg Foster, Julie Newmar, Carel Struycken, and Jimmie F. Skaggs also starred in these films. Her other film credits include Project: Metalbeast (1995, with Diaunté, Brian Brophy, Carole Davis, Brioni Farrell, John Marzilli and Chuck Picerni, Jr.), Under the Hula Moon (1995, also with Carel Struycken), Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997, with Brian Thompson), Gunshy (1998, with John Fleck), Molly (1999, with Brian George, Robert Harper, Vinny Argiro, and Athena Massey), Wild Wild West (1999), Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000, with Stephen Root), The Cell (2000), and Kicking & Screaming (2005, with Rachael Harris, Matt Winston, and Tom Virtue).
