Muon rays are a type of radiation.

Julian Bashir discovered in 2370 that muon rays were effective in neutralizing the harvester biomechanical gene disruptors created by the Kellerun and the T'Lani. This was possible once the correct frequencies were discovered, a process which took several hundred attempts. (DS9: "Armageddon Game")
