"Mr. Adventure" was a Starfleet lieutenant posted to the transporter room at Old City Station in 2285. He worked the late shift with Commander Uhura and was forced to sit in the closet while she illegally transported Kirk, Sulu and McCoy to the Enterprise. (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)
"Mr. Adventure" was played by actor Scott McGinnis. The novelization of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock gives his name as Heisenberg. The novel Catalyst of Sorrows gives his first name as Scott.
McGinnis' undershirt was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]
