A mountain lion was a type of animal native to Earth.
Captain Erika Hernandez once saw mountain lion tracks while Jonathan Archer and she were rock climbing in 2154. Initially concerned that the animal might be nearby, she was somewhat relieved when Archer's tricorder scan of the tracks revealed that they were several days old. (ENT: "Home")
