Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a park in the United States that pays homage to 5 of America's most memorable Presidents.
The Presidents featured on the mountain are Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. Also, sometime prior to the 2280s, the head of an African-American woman President was added to the monument.
In 2287, while on shore leave, Pavel Chekov and Hikaru Sulu hiked in the park at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, and got lost in the woods.
Uhura later contacted them to request that they need to return to their transport coordinants, they tried to hide the fact they were lost by saying they'd encountered a blizzard. Uhura found the weather forecast, and noted to them that her readouts revealed that it was 70 degrees with sunny skies. Having realized they couldn't continue with the charade, Uhura reassured them she wouldn't tell anyone, and that she'd direct them to the shuttle coordinates. (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier)
Background
The final cut of the movie seemed to imply that Chekov and Sulu were exploring Yosemite National Park, where Kirk and the others were camping, but an extended scene from indicated that they were Mount Rushmore, when the camera panned out to reveal Mount Rushmore.
