Morgan Adair Jones (15 June 192813 January 2012; age 83) was the actor who played Colonel Jack Nesvig in the original series episode "Assignment: Earth".

Jones co-starred with Dick Miller in the latter's film debut, Roger Corman's Apache Woman, in 1955. The following year, he had a supporting role in the classic science fiction film Forbidden Planet, opposite Warren Stevens and George D. Wallace. The next year, he starred in another sci-fi classic, Corman's Not of This Earth, and he made an uncredited appearance in Until They Sail, directed by Robert Wise and starring Jean Simmons. And in 1959, Jones and TOS star George Takei had uncredited roles in the war drama Never So Few, which also featured fellow TOS guest-stars John Hoyt and Whit Bissell.

He has also appeared in two episodes of The Twilight Zone: "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?" with Bill Erwin and John Hoyt, and "The Parallel" with Paul Comi. Jones passed away January 13, 2012.
