Morgan Farley (3 October 189811 October 1988; age 90) began his career in 1929. He played a large number of mostly small parts in movies, and during the middle of his career, television. He also played a role in the Broadway musical "Seventeen".

During the Second World War, Farley served as an officer in the Army. Records of his time in the Army are fragmentary at best (his personnel file was destroyed in 1973 during a major fire at a federal records building), however as he would have been in his late 40s at the time, it is doubtful he saw much front-line combat. Even so, a record from 1944 does exist showing Farley as a patient in a military hospital.

Along with Judith Anderson, Richard Hale, Anthony Jochim, Felix Locher, Celia Lovsky, Leonard Mudie, Charles Seel, Abraham Sofaer, John Warburton, and Ian Wolfe, he is one of only eleven credited Star Trek guest stars born in the 19th century to appear in any episode or film. He was already close to seventy at the time he made his two Star Trek appearances. He died just after his ninetieth birthday, in October of 1988.
