A modular shelter is a type of temporary field accommodation suitable for use on M-class worlds. Modular shelters come in two colors, gray and beige.
In 2372, Captain Kathryn Janeway and Commander Chakotay were forced to leave the ship, and assemble a modular shelter to serve as their permanent home. (VOY: "Resolutions")
