The Moab system, located in the Moab sector, was a star system with 5 planets, one of them inhabited.
In 2368, a stellar core fragment passed through the Moab system and threatened to destroy a Human colony on Moab IV. With the help of the USS Enterprise-D however, the path of the core fragment was changed and the colony saved. (TNG: "The Masterpiece Society")
