Mitchell Ryan (11 January 19344 March 2022; age 88) was the actor from Louisville, Kentucky, USA who portrayed Kyle Riker in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "The Icarus Factor". Earlier, he was a contender for the role of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, but the role was ultimately given to Patrick Stewart. [1]

He was known for his appearances in Lethal Weapon and Dharma & Greg as well as for his role as Burke Devlin on the 1960s cult serial Dark Shadows, which also featured Next Generation guest star Kathryn Leigh Scott. Ryan starred as Hugh Hefner opposite Bibi Besch and Jim Boeke in Death of a Centerfold: The Dorothy Stratten Story, which was directed by Gabrielle Beaumont.

In 1993 he appeared in the film Hot Shots! Part Deux with Ben Lemon, Miguel Ferrer, and Brenda Bakke. He appeared again with Lemon in Liar Liar (1997, with Anne Haney, Eric Pierpoint, Randy Oglesby, and Chip Mayer. He is also best known for his performance as Dr. Terence Wynn in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995, with J.C. Brandy, Kim Darby, George Wilbur, Alan Echeverria, and music by Alan Howarth).
