Mira Antlia V = Dytallix B

Dytallix B, also known as Mira Antlia V, was the uninhabited fifth planet of the Mira system. The planet was tidally locked, with temperatures reaching 180 °C on the day side, and had no indigenous lifeforms.

The position and orbital path of this planet was depicted on a system map that was displayed on the bridge of the USS Enterprise-D.(TNG: "Conspiracy", okudagram)

Prior to stardate 41775, Dytallix B was mined for the Federation by the Dytallix Mining Company. This was one of seven uninhabited planets mined by this company. The mines were located in the temperate zones between the day and night hemispheres.

In 2364, the mines had been long abandoned and were used as a secret meeting place by Starfleet Captains Walker Keel, Rixx, Tryla Scott, and Jean-Luc Picard to discuss the infiltration of Starfleet Command by neural parasites. (TNG: "Conspiracy")

Background informationEdit

The planet model for this world was first used to represent Velara III in "Home Soil" and was later used to represent the Starbase 73 planet in "Up The Long Ladder".

"die-TAL-icks BEE" was the pronunciation for this planet's name from the script pronunciation guide. [1]
