Minsk is a city in the European Alliance on Earth and was the capital city of the former nation Belarus.
In 2327, the Parrises squares team of Minsk, though highly favored, lost against the team of the Starfleet Academy.
Minsk is the home of Sergey and Helena Rozhenko, the Human foster parents of the Klingon Worf. Worf grew up here and, together with Sergey, often went on camping tours in the Ural Mountains, which lie ca. 2000km to the east. (TNG: "Family", DS9: "Change of Heart")
In 2375 when Miles O'Brien was preparing to move back to Earth, Worf was insistent that O'Brien consider Minsk for his new home. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")
