Mimas is a moon of the planet Saturn in the Sol system.
By 2368, the moon was home to an emergency evacuation station for the Academy Flight Range in orbit of Saturn. After the accident regarding the Nova Squadron, the wounded Starfleet cadets were taken there. (TNG: "The First Duty")
