Michael Lee Ivins (born 17 March 1963; age 49) is a musician from Omaha, Nebraska who played a miner of the Orpheus Mining Colony in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Demons". He received no credit for this cameo role.

Ivins is the co-founder and bass player of the music band "The Flaming Lips". He appeared on Enterprise along with his manager Scott Booker and his wife Jennifer Booker after being invited to the set by Connor Trinneer. He is married to Catherine and is a Star Trek fan.

As a part of "The Flaming Lips" he wrote and performed several songs for films such as "Bad Day" for Batman Forever (1995), "SpongeBob and Patrick Confront the Psychic Wall of Energy" for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004), and "The Supreme Being Teaches Spider-Man How to Love" for Spider-Man 3 (2007) and appeared in several documentaries such as Fearless Freaks (2005) and UFOs at the Zoo: The Flaming Lips Live in Oklahoma City (2007). "The Flaming Lips" has released eleven albums, several singles and DVDs.
