Michael Cumpsty (born 26 February 1958; age 66) is an English actor of stage and screen who played Lord Burleigh in the Star Trek: Voyager first and second season episodes "Cathexis" and "Persistence of Vision".

Prior to his appearances on Voyager, Cumpsty briefly became a regular on L.A. Law during the 1991-92 season, playing the role of Frank Kittredge. His co-stars on this series included fellow Star Trek alumni Corbin Bernsen and Larry Drake. His other credits include The Kennedys of Massachusetts (1990, with Steven Weber playing John F. Kennedy), Hamlet (1990, with Reg E. Cathey), Liberty! (1997, with Donna Murphy), and appearances on Matlock (with Gregg Henry and Daniel Roebuck), Law & Order, and the soap opera All My Children. He has also appeared in a number of feature films, including Fatal Instinct (1993, with Christopher McDonald, Christopher Darga, and Bill Cobbs), The Ice Storm (1997), The 24 Hour Woman (1999, with Rosana DeSoto).

On stage, he is remembered for playing John Dickinson in the 1997 Broadway revival of the musical 1776 (with Brent Spiner and Richard Poe.)
