Michael Baron co-wrote the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "Code of Honor" with Katharyn Powers. They were both interviewed by Edward Gross for the article "Writers Katharyn Powers & Michael Baron - Inside Code of Honor" for The Official Star Trek: The Next Generation Magazine Vol. 2, pp. 59-62.

Baron earned a BS in Organizational Systems Management from the California State University Northridge. Prior to his writing work he was employeed as production controller, computer programmer, and systems analyst. Following work as retail sales representative and store manager for T-Mobile between 2002 and 2006, Baron is working as freelance IT consultant and photographer.
