Methohexital (C₁₄H₁₈N₂O₃) was a sedative barbiturate substance which was primarily used in hospitals and other medical facilities. It was often used in tandem with anesthesia to induce a deep sedation.

In 2004, Loomis stole some methohexital from a blood bank at which he worked to sedate his victims, whom he was delivering to the Xindi-Reptilians for whom he was working. (ENT: "Carpenter Street")
