Merik III was the third planet in the Merik planetary system, in the Gamma Quadrant.
In 2372, the planet was subject to a bio-survey conducted by Doctor Bashir and Chief O'Brien. (DS9: "Hippocratic Oath")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pg. 75), the Merik system was located in non-aligned space. This system was a single star system. Primary was a Class F star with a magnitude of +7, which was 1/10 the brightness of Sol. This system was a destination on the Gamma Quadrant Bio-Survey (2369-75).
