Deleted content to the talk page Edit

Regarding the detail of "Reference deleted content on the talk page", should

"If you find false information in an article, mention it on the talk page and describe the corrections – because if one person believed it was true, chances are someone else believed it was true, too." be changed to

"If you delete something in an article, copy it to the talk page and explain the deletion - because if one person added it, chances are others will too."

To me, this describes what is generally happening. Most things deleted (and removed to talk) aren't false. They're non-canon, speculation, badly sourced or unnecessary. Setacourse 22:18, December 9, 2009 (UTC)

I agree with a change in the wording, especially for content being removed due to lack of citation. - Archduk3:talk 22:31, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
Thumbs up to sulfur. That was fast, but it's what is considered good/necessary practice now, and this is just saying that. Setacourse 22:45, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
