missing interwiki links on MA/enEdit
Hello! Our bot was running interwiki.py and generated a list of nearly 1800 interwiki links that are missing here. So I'm looking for somebody to add these IWL using the english warnfile our bot generated (which I would send per email). It would be nice if one of your bots could manage this, so I don't need to request bot permission on MA/en and botflag from wikia staff. Removing XI categories Edit
- Category:Memory Alpha articles related to Star Trek (film) (ready to be removed)
Category:Memory Alpha articles related to Star Trek (film) production

- These hidden categories are useful in finding alternate reality things. I believe that they should still be kept. -- sulfur 21:27, February 19, 2011 (UTC)
The portal page actually has more pages listed on it than what's in the in-universe category right now, since it seems a number of articles were never added to the cat for some reason. The Portal was also intended to be a more permanent solution to finding pages relevant to the alt reality, since these categories will, hopefully, be defunct in a year. If we want to keep them as an alternative, it's no big deal to me. - Archduk3 00:29, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

The production category needs over about a hundred pages added to it then, as almost all of the cast and crew pages aren't in the category. - Archduk3 20:41, March 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Is the portal page that links to the first category a dead portal page? If so, can we remove that page entirely? Also, what is the plan for the Into Darkness version of this category? -- sulfur (talk) 16:35, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
If you're talking about Portal:Main/Panels/ST09, then yes, that could be deleted as it isn't currently in use. I think adding links to the AR portal itself would be a better idea this time around than the categories, so I for one don't think we need to update these for Into Darkness when it comes out. - Archduk3 03:09, January 2, 2013 (UTC)

"Botting" the DrexFiles links Edit
Right, as per sulfur's suggestion over here, I suggest "botting" the links originating from the now unfortunately defunct "DrexFiles": The links that are to be altered are as follows, the site thankfully been backed up at Way Back Machine:
- All standard links that start with [http://drexfiles.wordpress.com/....] into {{brokenlink|http://www.drexfiles.wordpress.com/....}}. Everything after "drexfiles.wordpress.com/" directs to a specific page and/or a specific entry on that page. Note the addition of "www.", that is nescessary or else Way Back Machine does not recognize it, tried that already.
- All former DrexFiles links embedded as text such as [http://drexfiles.wordpress.com/ Drex Files], same story essentially, do not know if that is feasible using bots.
We might decide to wait awhile to see what Drexler does with his blog, though my personal estimation of the man is that he is a decent man, not inclined to rock the "legal boat" as it were.--Sennim (talk) 16:30, April 13, 2013 (UTC)
- It might actually be a better idea to change these links to a template for the site, and then have that call the broken link template, so these would be easy to find and update if the site comes back. - Archduk3 21:00, April 13, 2013 (UTC)
Truth to be told, Duke's suggestion is beyond my "paycheck"-grade so to speak, interesting as it sounds to my uninformed ears. Yet, anything, and I mean ANYTHING, that preserves the DrexFiles links is exceptionally fine by me. --Sennim (talk) 21:16, April 13, 2013 (UTC)
- With {{DrexFiles}}, I'm not sure how many of these can be "botted", since I don't know if a bot can place the template around the individual parts of the text we would need to keep, but if the locations of any that can't be could be ID, a few of us should be able to get the rest by hand fairly quickly, and further bot runs shouldn't be required if the site comes back online. - Archduk3 21:07, April 14, 2013 (UTC)
