Meles II was the second planet in the Meles planetary system. This planet was near Federation space, and was the closest inhabited planet to the Detrian system. Its inhabitants were friendly and welcoming, a fact that led William T. Riker to suggest it as a destination for James Moriarty and Regina Bartholomew when they departed the USS Enterprise-D as part of a holodeck simulation in 2369. (TNG: "Ship in a Bottle")
