Melanie Smith (born 16 December 1962; age 50) was the third and final actress to play Tora Ziyal on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She has also had recurring roles on Seinfeld (where her character had a memorably awkward encounter with Jason Alexander's George), Melrose Place, The Division, the science fiction Western The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., and also had a recurring role on the soap opera As the World Turns. She starred with Andrew Robinson and Stephen Macht in the cult science fiction film Trancers III.
