Melanie Smith (born 16 December 1962; age 50) was the third, final and most frequent actress to play Tora Ziyal on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Smith has also had recurring roles on Seinfeld (where her character had a memorably awkward encounter with Jason Alexander's George in the episode "The Hamptons"), Melrose Place, The Division and As the World Turns. She starred with Andrew Robinson and Stephen Macht in the cult science fiction film Trancers III and has also had single guest starring appearances in Curb Your Enthusiasm, the science fiction Western The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. and Nowhere Man.
